La Sagrada Familia Barcelona –> Spain 23-08-2004 Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece dominates Barcelona's skyline. It's over 120 years since the first stone was laid. Gaudi worked on it religously (no pun intended) until his death in 1926. Estimations suggest it will be completed in 2015.

Let it Bled Bled –> Slovenia 31-05-2005 Hardly an incentive to praise the Lord - Bled's church is set on an island at the centre of the town's lake. Good for tourism, though.
